Hi Mike
Would you classify your position as that of a 'Fully Endowed Creationist'? I think that means that all that was neccessary for life (and godliness) was inherent in the mix when the cosmos was given its first impetus at the Big Bang?
I find that a fascinating and scientifically pleasing idea but I do have an inherent desire to allow God the right to intervene (probably in such subtle ways that we could never detect them) in life's formation, continuation and ultimate end.

At this point, I am still thinking about all these issues. One function of the blog is to allow thinking out loud with comments from others. I do lean towards faith in a God who cannot be proven to exist. For the existence of God to be meaningful, he must have intervened in the universe at some point in the past; He may be acting still.
